Shane’s introduction to the world of financial planning began with his father, who started at Northwestern Mutual in 1973. Growing up in and around the culture of the firm, Shane did not always understand the importance of comprehensive financial planning in his youth. When his dad became disabled during college, however, his family experienced firsthand the importance of a strong plan and a trustworthy team. Prior to graduating with a degree in finance from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Shane joined Northwestern Mutual as an Intern and subsequently became a full-time Financial Advisor.

Shane’s family events created a passion for him to help other families and businesses to plan for the unexpected and ensure that they are taught about their best financial options. Shane’s commitment to serving and leading clients, together with coaching new Financial Representatives led to his appointment as the Managing Director of Northwestern Mutual The Woodlands in 2011. As Managing Director, Shane oversees recruitment, development, and business operations.

He continues to work with new and existing clients as their Financial Advisor.

While leading and mentoring advisors, Shane became the co-founder of Volante Integrated Planning. As Founding Partner and Principle of V.I.P., he is able to continue the privilege of helping clients achieve their financial goals with the support of a team of forward thinking and client focused professionals. At Volante, they take time to learn about every clients personal and financial goals, they develop a comprehensive plan as well as assist the clients in an ongoing relationship to implement their plan. Volante helps clients by guiding them to make the right and most informed choices today, so they have better choices tomorrow.

Together with his family, he moved to The Woodlands, Texas in 1996 from his home state of Louisiana. Shane is married to Celeste, and their two children grew up in The Woodlands. They are active in their children’s schools and the Parrish of St Anthony Catholic Church.

Meet Amy Stiner | MBA, RICP®

Through the course of her career, Amy Stiner has had the privilege and pleasure of helping individuals and families through some of the most poignant transitions in their lives. Amy joined Northwestern Mutual in May 2014 and recently merged with Volante Integrated Planning in January 2024 to support the growth and needs of her clients. With more than 10 years in higher education as Director of Admissions and Recruitment before embarking on her career as a Northwestern Mutual Financial Advisor, she connected with thousands of college students at the pivot point of adulthood. Transitioning from high school to college is one moment that most people can agree is a landmark time of life, but there are many others.

Amy understands that different life events and stages often mean a change in priorities and a need for specialized financial guidance. That’s where her work as a Financial Advisor comes in. Amy loves learning about clients’ needs, connecting them to the right solutions, and helping them build and leave a legacy. She believes that when you work hard that money is a means to an end and a reward for the hard work you put in that allows you the freedom to live the way you want.

While Amy grew up across the United States, Kansas City was always considered home for her and her husband Bob. Nothing beats the barbeque, changing seasons, great schools and being able to be near their family and friends. She and her family live in Stilwell, KS with their two high school sons, Andrew and Ryan, who attend Blue Valley Southwest High School and their two four-legged family members.

Away from the office, she can be found in the kitchen cooking (anything Italian), cheering on her boys, reading, gardening, or watching her Kansas City Chiefs win! Her dream is to one day buy a vineyard in Italy but for now, she is learning Italian and planning her first trip to Florence and Tuscany.
